Day Seven: God is Willing and He is Able.
The picture that you see above, is a wheelchair that belonged to a beautiful and lovely young woman who had massive seizures every time that she would get out of it. Her total existence was wrapped up with a life being bound to this chair. One day, during a tent revival, this woman and her husband came into the tent and received healing. Today she is completely free of this chair and she is free of the seizures. Jesus did it all.
“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:2-3 NKJV
We all have the belief that God can heal, deliver, prosper, bless and give success. We understand that God is able to do all these things, but just like the leper in the Scripture you just read, the leper knew in his heart that God could cleanse him of his disease. He knew that God was able to do this, but he wasn’t sure that He was willing to do it.
The leper, didn’t doubt that Jesus had the ability to heal him, he just wasn’t sure that God loved him enough to show him grace and mercy.
I don’t know what the young woman in the wheelchair thought when she asked her husband to take her to see what God was doing inside of a tent in the middle of a field. I believe that she knew something was happening that was supernatural. I believe that she was drawn into this place by God Himself. In her heart she came expecting something to happen. Yes she knew the Lord was able to heal her, but just like the leper, she didn’t know if He was willing to heal her.
Many people today are just like this, they believe God is able to heal, deliver, remove demons, and prosper them, but they just aren’t sure that He is willing to do it.
This is a tragedy today for many. You may have a need that needs to be met, you know that God is able to take care of that need, but like many people, you are not sure that He is willing to do it. I want you to hear the words of Jesus, “I am willing.” Yes He is willing to meet your needs. He is willing to heal you of your sickness and diseases. He is willing to deliver you from any problem. He is willing to prosper you. He is willing to make you successful.
I want you to see how much Jesus is willing. Not only did He say that He is willing, He touched the leper when He said it. He did this to not only enforce what He said, but to heal the emotional scars that the man had suffered for years. Jesus was not only able to heal the man physically, but He healed him emotionally as well. This is the God who always says, “I love you and I am able to heal you, deliver you, and prosper you, and yes I am willing to do it every time.”
Pray: “Father thank You that You hear me when I pray. Thank You that You are able to deliver me from all my problems. Thank You that are not only able to do these things, but that You are always willing to do these things for me. Thank You Jesus for everything that You have already done and thank You for Your favor and Your love…Amen.”
Declare this: “I always have the favor of God upon me. I am loved by Him. I know that He is always willing to bless me.“
