Day Five: We Have Jesus, “Full Perfection.”
“His mouth is most sweet, Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, And this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem!”
Song of Solomon 5:16 NKJV
There is someone I know and some of you may know Him too. He is someone who you can hang out with. He doesn’t judge you and you can let your hang down when you are around Him. You can talk to Him about anything. He likes to talk to you about your dreams, desires, loves and your hurts. He wants to heal you of any ailments that you may be suffering from and He wants to deliver you from the hand of the enemy. He wants to know about your problems and the challenges that you face. He wants to comfort you in your weaknesses and He wants to rejoice with you in your victories.
He is love wrapped up in a perfect package. He is tender hearted and yet He is strength. He is meek (gentle and quiet) but He is majestic (showing impressive beauty and dignity). He is all man yet He is all God. He is smooth as silk, yet He is strong as steel. Who is He? He is Jesus the lover of my soul.
To know Him, means turning away from yourself. You must look at Him. He is the one who has defeated death and hell itself.
Within a moments time, He can cause a murderous mob of religious hypocrites to lay down their stones by saying, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”” (John 8:7) He can then say to the accused, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”” (John 8:10-11 NKJV) This is Jesus!
This is my God. In times of trouble, He comes and protects you. He is one hundred percent Man and He is one hundred percent God. As a man He understands every temptation that you may encounter. As God, He knows how to get through those temptations. As God, all His love, strength, power and authority has been given to you, so that you can live an abundant life. Rest easy, perfection has come and perfect love casts out all fear.
Say this: “I have Jesus, therefore, I have perfection.”
Pray: “Father thank thank You that You hear me when I pray. Thank You for sending me Jesus, because of Jesus I have perfection. Help me keep my eyes upon Jesus and help me to become like Him. Thank You Jesus for not condemning me, but loving me. Thank You Jesus for who You are and for everything that You have done. Thank You Jesus for giving me favor in all things. Amen.“
