100 Days of Favor: Day Two

Meditate Upon Jesus Gives Success

Day 2: Meditate Upon Jesus Gives Success

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Whenever we meditate on the Word, we are meditating upon Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬) When we are willing to meditate upon Jesus, we see His love for us, we see the finished works, we see His forgiveness, grace and mercy and most of all we see the Father. Jesus said, “I and My Father are one.”” (John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬) When we see Jesus, we are seeing the Father. When we meditate on one verse in the Bible we are seeing Jesus. Take for instance, Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” This is a verse that we have read over and over, but when we look at Jesus it somehow becomes more than words on a page. It becomes alive. When I meditate on it I see the face of Jesus and I find myself saying, “Lord Jesus You are my shepherd; I shall never want anything, because I have You. You are all that I want and You are all that I need. Nothing can take Your place Jesus, for You are my shepherd.”

What does a shepherd do? He takes care of the sheep. He provides for the sheep’s needs. He feeds His sheep. He protects His sheep from predators. Jesus is our shepherd, therefore, we will never need anything but Him. We shall never want anything, We shall never lack wisdom because He will give it to us. We shall never lack direction because He is there to guide us. We shall never lack provisions because He will always give us more than enough. He is always with us, always protecting us and always loving us. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word. In every situation meditate upon Jesus.

It doesn’t matter if you a big business man or woman, a homemaker, a teacher, a student, a grocery clerk or a person who is homeless, Jesus is there for you. It doesn’t matter if you a black, red, white or yellow, Jesus is there for you. If you will take the time to meditate upon Jesus you will have success. He will propel you into success without you knowing it. He will devise the plan for you and then He will direct your steps. He will cause doors of opportunity to open up for you and you will be amazed when you step through them. He will take you to places you only dreamed about and He will promote you because He has given you favor. I will say it again, when you meditate on Jesus (Word), He will give you success. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus will make your way prosperous and you will have good success. The world believes prosperity is all about what they can achieve. Once they get their first million or two they want more and they will do whatever it takes to get it. Take a look at some corrupt politicians and you can see this for yourself.

When Jesus gives you prosperity, financial blessings go with it. But know this He will never allow prosperity take you away from His presence. Prosperity will never take the place of the Word, family, and yourself.

Meditate on the face of Jesus and hear His words spoken to you.

Pray: Father I thank You that You hear me when I pray. I want to learn to meditate upon Jesus. I want to see His face and hear His words spoken to me. Jesus, You are my shepherd and I shall not want. Guide me Lord, teach me Lord to know all about You. Open Your Word to me so that I can see Your face and be able to hear your heart beat because I need You everyday. Your Word is my success. Thank You Jesus for everything that You have already done…Amen.

Declare this: As I meditate upon Jesus, I have only prosperity and success.
